Vodafone have released their first SIM only products that feature unlimited call minutes and unlimited texts in the guise of their Vodafone Red SIM Only tariff starting at just £17.00 per month.
The market at the £15 to £25 per month range is becoming hotly contested with the original pioneer (Three) being pegged back by the traditional large mobile networks, Vodafone being the latest with their Red plans.

Vodafone Red SIM only is currently offered in two different tariffs. Why Get The Vodafone Red SIM Only?
Vodafone conducted a wide ranging survey and consumer research with a view to formulating a SIM only tariff that was priced attractively and included a range of features that mobile phone users found most appealing. This included the research of 5,000 Vodafone customers and the setting up of 27 different structures to find out the optimum structure – this culminated in the Vodafone Red plans.
The Red plans cater to two specific groups of mobile phone users.
- A phone user that is coming to the end of their mobile phone contract. They are happy with their current phone, but they are sure that they would be able to get a cheaper monthly contract that includes more generous calling, texting and data allowances.
